Workshop Summer 2025: Songs with Shakespeare in Mind
Sunday 8 June 2025, all day in Old Village Hall
Ian Clarke has chosen a wonderful selection of songs, inspired by poetry from several of Shakespeare’s verses and plays, including Love’s Labour’s Lost, Othello, Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Tempest. The 12 songs we will sing were written by a variety of composers dating from each century between the 16th and the 21st and include Thomas Morley, Robert Johnson, E.J. Moeran, Ralph Vaughan Willams and John Rutter. The cost of the Workshop includes all the music you will need.
The Workshop will follow our usual format, with an informal (free!) concert at around 5.15pm and a buffet supper afterwards. Click here for more details.
