Workshop Summer 2022: Haydn's The Seasons
Sunday 19 June, Old Village Hall
For our 2017 Summer Workshop we sang Haydn's oratorio The Creation, and for 2022 we have chosen to sing selections from his Seasons. This oratorio is much less well known, but still has a wealth of enjoyable music to portray the yearly cycle of farm activities and their accompanying weather. Highlights include a hunting scene (no animals harmed in the making of this music), a thunderstorm, and the chorus "Joho, Joho - wine is here!".
We hope to have time also to sing some lighthearted summer songs.
Charges -
Please book your place by 9 June (the day of the first optional rehearsal), so that we know how many to expect.
There's some more general information about what to expect on our main Workshops page.

- 10.00 singing starts
