Membership
Membership is open to all ages, the only requirement being that everyone sings enthusiastically in tune with their neighbour. The choir is currently 35-strong but we welcome new members, especially tenors who seem to be in short supply everywhere!
Rehearsals
In winter and spring terms we rehearse for our Christmas and Easter concerts on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm for two hours, at the Village Hall in Charles Close, Old, NN6 9RQ.
Bring a pencil, so you can make notes on the music and they can still be rubbed out afterwards.
Click here to see the practice notes, which are posted regularly during term. These show week by week what we rehearsed, plus any special announcements.
The choir is a not-for-profit entity and members currently contribute just £40.00 per term. This is meant to cover rehearsal costs: rehearsal room, all music, and Ian's time. Ideally ticket sales would cover venue charges, and the cost of any professional soloists, organist or other instrumentalists, though in practice we need a top-up through other fund raising activities such as the supper at the workshop.
