What a lovely Christmas concert we had in Walgrave Church. Gordon Jacobs 'The Newborn King', Henry Purcell Magnificat and Nunc Dimitis and Ralph Vaughan Williams Fantasia on a Christmas Carol. A truly British programme together with our audience participation carols.
Looking towards Easter and we're already busy rehearsing for a great concert, once again, in Brixworth Church at 7.30 pm, Friday 18th March. This beautiful Saxon Church is a wonderful setting where we will be singing Mendelssohn's Hymn of Praise and Joseph Haydn Missa Brevis 'Small Organ Mass'.
Finally we are holding our annual workshop in Old Village Hall on Sunday 15th May where we will be looking at Brahms Love song waltzes. This is open to ANYONE who would like to come and have a taster of singing in a choir, no previous experience necessary.
There is a concert at 5.45 pm which is open to the public and free of charge, and optionally join in the post-performance supper where there is a small charge.
